A display disrupt the night’s rest, causing a lack of sleep. Often we watch a long time on LCD and LED screen, which can be a TV, laptop, ipad or a telephone. To see what is on the screen, light has to come out, for this a backlight LED lamp is used. The problem is that too much blue light comes out. That is very different from the natural light. So if you look at that screen for hours, the body, but especially the hormones, gets out of balance.

Melatonine

It is about the hormone melatonin! Melatonin is made in the evening when the sun goes down. There is naturally more red light in the natural color spectrum and that is good, but from a screen comes a lot of blue light and that stops the production of melatonin. This gives you no sleep signal and when you go to sleep, it will be more difficult to fall asleep, so your sleep is shorter and less deep. The result is that you do not wake-up rested and you are less concentrated and vital during the day. If this goes on, you will have chronic sleep shortage.
